MY RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing with Intention
Throughout my internship, I worked at the intersection of design, marketing, and creative systems. I designed digital and print campaigns, developed reusable Figma templates, created audience-focused content, conducted competitive analysis and AI tool research, and collaborated with marketing and business teams to turn campaign goals into clear, engaging, and consistent creative.
ITERATIONS --> IMPACT
Seeing My Work Come To Life
One of the most rewarding parts of my internship was seeing my designs move from Figma files to real resident-facing experiences. Through multiple rounds of feedback and iteration with the marketing team, I refined each asset with a focus on visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, accessibility, and brand consistency. Beyond creating polished visuals, I learned how to communicate design decisions, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and balance user needs with business goals. Seeing an approved flyer displayed at a residential event reinforced that thoughtful design is about creating meaningful communication experiences.

COLLABORATIONS
Learning with REBNY
I had the priviledge to collaborate with the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), New York City's leading real estate trade association. REBNY organized exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of commercial properties, where I learned how office buildings operate beyond what visitors typically see.
From building management and engineering to tenant experience and day-to-day operations, these experiences gave me a deeper appreciation for the many teams that keep these spaces running and broadened my understanding of the real estate industry.

VOLUNTEERING
Serving my Community
Beyond design, I valued the opportunity to support my community through volunteering with Encore Community Services and Housing Works. Whether preparing food packages or organizing donated books, these experiences reinforced my belief that thoughtful actions, big or small, can make a meaningful difference.

CONCLUSIONS & TAKEAWAYS
What I Learned
This internship taught me that great design is about far more than creating something visually appealing. It's about understanding people, collaborating with others, embracing feedback, and designing with intention. Every project, conversation, and challenge strengthened not only my technical skills but also my confidence in communicating ideas and solving real-world problems.
WHAT COMES NEXT
An Opportunity to Keep Learning, Contributing, and Growing
I’m excited to continue my journey with Rudin beyond the original internship, extending my time with the team through November. Being the first intern to receive an extension like this has been especially meaningful and reflects how much I’ve grown, contributed, and connected with the team throughout this experience.
What started as an eight-week internship has become an opportunity to take on new challenges, contribute to larger projects, and continue developing as a designer. I’m looking forward to building on everything I’ve learned so far and seeing where the next chapter takes me.
